evening, y'all.
jred, august is one of my least favorite months, too. it is when the 'canes really crank up. it is wicked hot and so humid and the skeeters are awful, even with mosquito control.

irene seems aimed right at us.

my mama's daddy loved the song irene, goodnight. and her family actually sang. (my great uncle frank could sing great speckeled bird and make you cry)

sometimes i live in the city,
sometimes i live in the town.
sometimes i take a great notion
to jump in the river and drown.
