Thanks Bama I think I'll try it. I've made it with bananas and it was great as usual even w/the pineapple, tho maybe a little 'heavier'.

Mornin everybody! Great fall weather here in the low 60's. I took a great day off yesterday, made some loaves of zippy bread for the freezer (thanks again Bama) and had landscapers in to do some cleanup in the yard. They also planted 6 flats of pansies. DH and I have good intentions but just not physically able to do all the work anymore so it's nice to find a crew that will.

BTW Bama, do you suppose apples would work as well as zucchini for your bread? Seems like they would have the same texture and moisture content?

Cold front in today. High of 84 forecast for tomorrow but not a drop of rain Darn!
Jared, they were fishing off Isabel. They go out 50 to 60 miles. Don't know yet how
Today was but small craft ban was lifted this morning. Y'all have a great labor day!

Thanks T-gal. Hope you get some of that rain you need. I'm taking the day and was just watching the noon news - looks like the gulf coast will get a ton! So much for my BIL's fishing tourney this weekend. Two weeks ago they caught a 300 lb. marlin - got some major points for that but last weekend only amberjack. Maybe Jared needs some.

Mornin' everybody. We're watching the tropical storm in the gulf. We we would get some rain off it here in N. Tx but they say not.

Is everybody posting on face book now instead of here and that's why this board is so sparse lately? And what would be the difference? I'm still confused but that's not unusual.

Weather people are saying our severe heat may let up some by this weekend and slight chance of rain. I'm used to a hot labor day weekend but we've already had 3 months of it and we're all just OVER it.

Bama, have you seen the Sept.issue of Southern Living? delicious sounding recipes w/apples including homemade sauce - made me think of you. And that apple cream cheese cake bundt cake on the front cover - YUM!

Mornin everybody. Busy week at work w/foreign visitors. And still hot. Maybe by Labor Day some relief. On the Iraq/Afgan thing - I think we should print up newspapers with the headline WE WON, organize some parades, wave flags and bring everybody home. We're never going to make a lasting difference anyway. Way too many young people gone.

Mornin everybody. Broken record here - still blazing hot. I will try to get a pic of our lil che-wa-was for my avatar. Monday was Bday #1 for Waylon Jennings xxxx. We gave ice cream to him and 3 y old Rosie and sang. Pore lil fella musta got a brain freeze - started shaking his head and walking funny, so then we felt real bad, loved on him and he got okay.
