Good evening ... checking in to see if anyone has heard from Faun-Marie? I have been so concerned, given the reports coming out of Vermont.

Good evening! All are safe in this part of the Carolinas; we're keeping fingers, eyes and ankles crossed for good luck, concerning the rest of the states that have yet to feel Irene's wrath.

Good evening. Just fed the troops, cleaned the kitchen and walked the pup; now - it's time to sit, for sittin's sake. Gadda, I agree with Ginnyrose - your photo of your grandparents is a genuine treasure. What a handsome couple they made. 🙂

Earl's all but reached the point of no return -- so overstimulated by having his back scratched, tummy rubbed (he will permit you to touch the white belly when the feeling's right), and his face stroked, that he's nearly rolled off of the desk, twice. And you know he's purring. Junior's not too keen on the whole, sordid scene. He thinks any attention doled out in the house ought to belong to him.
It's been a pleasure seeing you and others, all in one active place, again. It's time for me to call it a night; thankfully, there is one more day left to the weekend, because I didn't make much of today, productivity wise. See y'all tomorrow. Good night.

My first cat was a barn cat; a buster of a grey tabby, named "Tuffy" - who was anything, but; he followed my father around in the way a dog would. Somewhere, there is a picture of we two - the cat, and I - sitting, together on the stoop of our house. From that vantage point, the cat was every bit as tall as I was. Speaking of grey tabbies, Earl is demanding a bit if face time, and says, "Hello". He's learned that sitting in front of the PC monitor is a sure-fire way of getting my attention.

Bama, how could I have dropped Howard's given name? Yikes .... Sophie --- part Bengal? How exotic! Our felines are strictly homogenized domestics, though I strongly suspect that Duncan (aka Genghis Cat) has a line of oriental somewhere in his lineage, given the shape of his face and body.

Bama, I love the picture of Sophie and Mr. Immaculate, Himself. I trust that she's grown a bit since that snap was taken. Our Sophie (a little dowager queen in grey flannel pyjammas) is set to turn 18 on Wednesday. She's never weighed more than 5-6 pounds, and still keeps the boys in check, when she feels they've gotten too big for their britches.

JT - knowing that you and VT (VermontFarmerFarming) are still surrounded by furkids of all persuasions means that all is right with the some of the world, even if other parts don't make sense. 🙂

JT ... so good to see you! I trust that you still have horses and dogs in your life? Can't imagine you without them. Hello too, Ginny, Bama, Delores *waving*

OMG ... LUCY passed away?! I used to love chatting with her .. she was my "Lucy with a Y/why" .... (inside joke we shared). I'm going to miss her. 🙁

Hello and good evening! I am late-coming in finding out that the Webmaster was making an Antiques Board, too. So thankful this is here ... Facebook makes my head swim, in that there's so much going on at once. This is much easier for an old broad, like me. 🙂
